The Rotary Club of Pasong Tamo-Banlat, in collaboration with St. Mark Integrated School, conducted the "Create a Lasting Impact" initiative for kindergarten students at St. Vincent School.
This event is a continuing project, building on its positive effects for both children and parents. It featured four main components: a Readathon, a Hub Mini Library, a teaching session, and a feeding program.
The Readathon encouraged pupils to listen to, respond to, imagine, and appreciate stories. The Hub Mini Library offered a reading space where children could explore books and develop early literacy skills. The teaching session included age-appropriate lessons that engaged pupils, allowing them to participate, ask questions, and relate the material to their experiences. The feeding program addressed the children's nutritional needs while fostering compassion through shared meals.
The project's goal was to support the holistic development of preschool pupils by addressing their intellectual, social, and physical needs. It also strengthened parents' trust as they observed their children receiving care, learning support, and valuable opportunities. The impact was evident in the children's joyful participation, increasing confidence, and renewed interest in reading and learning.
The Hub Mini Library serves as a lasting resource that will benefit pupils long after the event. The project bolstered cooperation among the Rotary Club, the school, families, and the community.
RC Pasong Tamo and St. Mark Integrated School extend their gratitude to Teacher Bing Capuno for her collaboration and coordination.
